Hey, I drive a SAAB 900 Turbo. Out-accelerates and higher top speed than most cars on the road. I don't tailgate. I drive at about 60 mph in the DC area on 495 and I'm by far the slowest driver on the road. Saab drivers don't tailgate in disproportionate numbers. Gas guzzling, poor handling, view-blocking SUVs do. Yes. I cringe a lot too. But I've found that just letting off the gas a bit lets them know you don't like it and they'll pass. It make take a few tries, but it generally works. And it seems safer than allowing them to stay on your butt mile after mile.
