The trick is to use the K-Jetronic system instead of the LH system that is normally used with 16v engines. You will need just about everything from a 16v engine, though, including all the intake plumbing and the exhaust plumbing, plus most of a new exhaust system. I believe it was the Saab Journal that had a step-by-step on how to do an 8v->16v swap, and I understand there are actually a couple companies out there that produce kits to do this, though I have never seen one. -Justin
