Mike, The A/C compressor clutch on my 87 9000S went out this past May. I ordered a remanufactured compressor from Impex Distributors, 1-800-736-3550, www.zstarr.com. The compressor including the cost of shipping to me and returning the core to them was less than $310. The independent Saab people I took mine to charged me $360 to install the compressor, a new receiver/drier, expansion valve and one pound of Freon. When they evacuated my system it had a pound and half of R-12 in it, so they only charged me for a pound when they recharged the system. The Freon was $50 and the rec/dri and expansion valve cost $67. You might want to keep Impex's number handy. They saved me money on two replacement mufflers, rear $68.55 and center $93.78 and a new crankshaft pulley/seal, $142.83 delivered. Ken Washington 87 9000S Upper Marlboro, MD
