The mounting rails are identical, so far as I know. I used a seat from a 3-door in my '84 four-door 900, the upholstery is a bit different & the tilt-forward backrest is just another interesting quirk. The '86 is mechanically the same as '84, I believe the seat heater connections are compatible as well. You wouldn't want to put a front seat from a 4 or 5-door into your 2-door saloon as this would inconvenience the rear passengers.
