Some SAAB aircraft used VOLVO engines BTW. Towards the end of WWII the management thought it suitable to change production to cars - the first car was the 1946 SAAB 92 (the SAAB 91 is an airplane - the 'Safir') Series production of the SAAB 92 started in december 1949.
