It is a device that causes great emotions.....exhilaration when driving (hit the accelerator hard when already doing 65 and you'll forget you're driving a 4 cylinder!)....and grief when it blows, leaving you stranded on the side of the road and looking at a $1800.00 repair bill. On my '85 recently I bit the bullet and paid the bill, can't really complain since the original turbo was at 180,000 mi. Keep the oil changed, though, and heed the warnings to idle before driving and after reaching your destination.
