I had the same problem with my 900.

It wasn't the cylinder as everyone suggested here but it was my hand brake
that kept on sliding to my brake disk and so my brake fluid was warming up.
When it's to warm the viscosity of the oil returns to the one of water
meaning you just push the pedal to the bottom.

You never know.
