If it is just the switch, you can just get a new one and plug it in from any scrap yard. To save a little cash you can actually dissassemble the switch itself. The catch is simply a wire which alternately moves backward and forward along a track in the switch. Sometimes they get a little bent and are quite easy to straighten back to their correct shape. I fixed the hazard lights and A/C switches in my '82 900 (back when I had it) without any problems. If your going to replace the switch anyway you've got nothing to lose by pulling the one you've got apart first to see if you can do anything... Gerard...
