I know it has the 16 valve > engine, but I wonder if it has a turbocharger or not. It's not turbocharged. 900's came in three trim levels: 900, 900 S, and 900 turbo. All used the same base engine though, a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder. I may be mistaken, but the 86 900 may have been equipped with the 8-valve engine. (I can't remember what year they went to the 16-valve on all models.) The "S" added power windows, door locks, center console, cruise control, sunroof, rear seat headrests and arm rest, better upholstery, and fog/driving lights. In '90, the "S" model added leather. The only thing to be leery of with an 86 was that Saab was running low on US spec cars and shipped a lot of Euro spec ones over to fill the void in the US sales boom. Actually some parts are _really_ hard to come by - even simple things like headlights. -- - goblin - newsgroup: alt.bobgoblin-extraordinaire - Ask your ISP to carry it! - website: http://come.to/bobgoblin
