Obviously you haven't actually tried to do this, Fred. Read my original post -- I got my keys out of the trunk once by using a stick to pop the switch thru the sunroof (only open ~ 2 inches). You can get to the switch EASILY thru the sunroof. The front passenger window takes a little doing to get past the steering wheel (I tried just to see), and the right rear has a clear shot (but it takes about a 6' probe (I used a short stick of rebar). It would be a little harder thru the drivers window, but still do-able (4' probe with a 4" ell on the end). Maybe the designers didn't think of this because it never gets hot enough that you'd want to crack the windows on parked car. But here in the temperate zone, it's a huge security flaw. Geoff Fred E.
