Odds are the mounts are kaput at that age. The engine shouldn't move about too much when blipped (you can do this with brake on/car in neutral or park. With the lowers gone, it will put lots of stress on the upper mount/torque arm. It can be done by one's self, but it's not a fun project. Figure anywhere between $70-110 per mount, plus labor. I did both of mine by myself in an hour and a half. Paul
