Jooooon, I have a 1987 900 Turbo convertable that sounds like it does the exact same thing. It seems almost every journey I embark on it will do it once. Usually I will be cruising along and it will appear to cut out, RPMs will drop for about .5 - 3 seconds and then catch again. Unfortunately, if I am idling at an intersection when it decides to happen, the results have been quite scarey when it actually stalls. My mechanic is going to swap out my computer with a 1988 model he has...I will let you know the results.
