You might be able to do it by removing the radio, but I'm
guessing removing the fascia will be necessary to do it right.
Doing so it not hard - remove the steering wheel, all the 
buttons and switches, the ashtray (and it's bracket to be
easier) and then the four screws along the lower edge.  It's
not that bad...  not fun though.  ;)
