Stephen, Welcome aboard the Saab family...In Sept of 95 I had to walk away from a 1990 900T for $9500...The owner did not want to take the time to have me put it through a pre-buy inspection...It hurt my heart, but I bought an 87 900S for $4500...If your 900 has never had synthetic in it be careful...If you have an leaks synthetic oil will find them...It may also create a few after it cleans a few things inside your engine...I have used Castrol GTX 10W30 in my 83 900T, 87 900S and currently in my 87 9000S...It is good oil, just change it and filter every 3,000 to 5,000 miles...In your 5 spd change the oil every 20,000 to 25,000 miles...My 83 900T had over 251,000 miles on the origincal trans no problems...Techron is still good...Berryman B-12 Chemtool is excellent too.
