You can get these in 205x55-15 for about 65 quid from Elite. The Pirelli p6000 also seem like very good tires and have a fairly hard sidewall. I used to think that a stiff tire was the best thing but now I am not to sure! My brothers car has p400 or 4000 (forget which) on his 88 900i. I have noticed that when he chucks it into a 30-50 mph bend the car hops round the corner. However my own car (84 900T16) just understeers followed by smooth oversteer in the same corners, when the back end follows the front. I have been using 195x60-15 Fulda azzuro's which are a fairly soft grippy tire but they also have a very soft sidewall. The fashion at the moment seems to be for tires with very thick strong sidewalls with things like rim flanges, very cool! I have also considered Bridgestone S02 in 205x55 but these cost loads, about 85 quid a pop. My choice when these Fulda's wear out will be the Michelin Pilots. I asked Elite about mounting them on a 6" rim and they don't think it will affect the performance of the tire too much, it will just bulge out a little. -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own
