Subject: Thermostat blown?



Today I've noticed that the cooler stays cool even after longer rides.
Although it's getting pretty cold these days, I think the thermostat is not
working right. Is there a safe way to check this part from outside. Is there
another explanation for this malfunction (water-pump not working etc??). Is
it a hard job to replace the thermostat?

Btw: the heating is working anyway. Is the heating not warmed up by the hot
coolant?
