The ground wires that need to be cleaned are back at the brake lights. Clean ALL of the grounds AT the fixtures and at the point in the body where the grounds meet. Weird stuff happens when a signal light's ground "floats." So most of this might be a side-effect of that. This cleaning job is tedious but not difficult: you have to have clean and shiny connectors everywhere in the trunk, because even missing one might cause them all to fail again. After polishing (fine sandpaper, nail file or even a pink-pearl pencil eraser) you might want a thin coat of vaseline: it conducts electricity, and prevents oxidation. Might as well remove the bulbs and polish/coat them (Be careful: the vaseline can form a short.) Hope this helps Ben
