I am pleased to advise that Mr. Dahoud Andre has forwarded a US Postal Money Order int he amount agreed for payment of the Saab 9000T Shop Manuals he purchased from me. Accordingly I would like to formally RETRACT my previous news group postings in which I pronounced Mr. Andre a "thief". For whatever reason, I was apparently receiving Dahoud's e-mail messages, but he was not receiving my responses to him or any direct e-mail messages I sent to his ".aol" e-mail address. In addition, I did not have his phone number and could not reach him via that mode of communications. It was only via this internet news group that I was able to re-establish communications with Dahoud and resolve this matter. There are many lessons that can be learned from this unfortunate series of events. This first is to make sure that all financial transactions are handled via money order or other "absolute" methods. The second is to ensure that when using UPS COD, that you specifically instruct UPS not to accept personal checks. The third, and possibly the most important, is to assure thorough communications exchange with phone numbers, et al so that in the even that e-mail failes, alternate methof\ds can easily be used. Once again, I am very glad that this matter is resolved and that my faith in the basic honesty of people has been renewed. Hank Grilk Forest, VA
