Subject: Rear Seal and rip off

I don't want to defend a Saab dealer anywhere but exchanging a rear end seal takes a lot longer than you think. You can't reach the damn thing espescially when there is power steering in the way. I wonder if the other replicants to this posting have ever replaced a seal at the back of the engine. I own several Saabs and have drivin them for well over 600.000 km. Rear end seals are a returning problem every 150 k km or so. I can't figure out how somebody would be able to do an exchange in 4 hours! I've rebuild transmission, engines from scratch and have a work shop equiped with all the nescessary tools and it still takes me and my father in law (4 Saabs and 1000.000 + km) 5 hours to simply exchange an engine (It's handy to allways have two complete engines in stock) So if anyone can please explain how you can move the engine and replace the seal in 4 hours your more then welcome!! Maybe Justin vanabrahams would like to shed some light on this. Harrie
