Do you know how I can test to be sure it is the gear. You mean gearbox by the way?!. I have no problems getting in gear and not to shif gear either. Alltough sometimes when downshifting from gear 3 to 2 I sometimes have a slight problem getting in gear. The last owner of the car actually let an authorized Saab repair center listen to the sound. But they didnt have any ideas, which I find strange, if someone should now they would. But on the other hand, its a very old car, so the people knowing details about these cars are mostly entusiasts and collectors. Best regards Patrick Ps.
