Thanks for the info.. Got another idea from a Saab mechanic... Hope it is true... He said the bands are adjustable on the transmission. That that particular band is adjusted when you do a service. (adjust from inside) If it only need an adjustment it is real simple. If it has already been "overadjusted" then its shot.. Guess we will go for a service to find out. Thanks for the help... Saab auto trannies are not "service friendly" Actually, to rethink my first thought, you might verify the kick down cable is there and properly adjusted. It usually won't cause these exact symptoms, but theoretically could under the right conditions...
