You can use either NGK or Bosch Platinum plugs...Regardless of which brand you chose, I recommend a gap of .026. My 83 900T had that gap from the factory. I used the same gap on my 87 900S and my current 87 9000S. As for sparkplug wires, the OEM bougicord wires are about the best. I tried a set of Jacobs wires on my 87 900S and really liked them.
