My saabs have had 80 or 100K miles at time of purchase. I've had the problem too with a couple of them. The last one was just recently fixed, but I had a number of things done all at once, so I can't say which was the culprit. I had a wheel bearing that was going out. It was replaced. I had problems with the steering rack too (very hard to turn the wheel, especially when cold). It was replaced. Also with the rack, I had to get a new alignment. I've always had a hard time getting a Saab mechanic to do an alignment on my cars. I was told it should be self adjusting -- and that it's not needed very often. My Saab mechanics can't do an alignment themselves... Special equipment is required and they send it out to have it done elsewhere. You may want to find someone in your area specializing in alignments rather than going to a Saab mechanic for that one. Hope I havn't confused you more than I've helped. Good Luck!
