Please don't state misguided opinion as fact. Having done business is over 20 different countries the past 17 years, I can say with great assurance the U.S. is about the easiest country to import into anywhere on this planet. Yes, there are some entry fees, but they are literally fractions of those in most other countries of Europe and Asia. Your story also means little, as you are talking about importing a foreign-market car (i.e. one intended to be driven in a different country). ALL countries have there own safety/pollution/size/marker light, etc. etc. restrictions and regulations, and importing a vehicle that doesn't meet the local requirements is a nightmare in any of them.
