Early ABS systems were a little hair trigger happy, esp on ice. If its very icy, threshold braking is the way to go. I think the new 9-3's have a balancing system that is supposed to delay ABS intervention to the last possible moment, so I think (hope) my 9-3's ABS will work better then the one on my previous car (Ford).
