There is a certain amount of evidence supporting the idea that ABS hurts stopping in the snow. You'll note Audis in pre-traction control days had a switch on the console to disable ABS for exactly these reasons. That said, pulling the plug on your ABS is probably a bad idea. Not only could that result in a nightmare should you get in a wreck and your insurance company find out, but disabling the ABS by removing power results in a noticably different pedal feel. My advice, having driven on snow exactly once, is to leave everything as is and leave more room between you and the car(s) in front of you... -Justin
