The Saab uses a negative trigger system - I'm guessing this is what they're calling "3 wire negative" as the "switch" in the driver's door has three wires - two "positive" and one negative. The system works by shorting one positive wire to the negative, sending a signal to the relay unit located on the vent plenum above the front passenger's feet. Do note that since the driver's door does *not* have a motor in it, you cannot remotely unlock the driver's door without purchasing an aftermarket door lock motor - they make 'em specifically designed for alarm systems. The other possibility is to replace the driver's door lock switch with a door lock motor - you can get one from a junkyard. They look and mount the same. You'll then be able to remotely un/lock all the doors from the remote, but then you won't be able to un/lock all the doors with the key. -Justin
