Paul, At 45K miles I don't think it is the clutch. It sounds like the hydraulic line to the clutch slave cylinder from the master cylinder went kaput. I had this happen on my 83 900T in 1994. The clutch pedal just died. The same thing can happen to the 9000 5spds. A white 9000T was towed into the independent saabtech I use in Odenton. Their hydraulic clutch line had gone out.
