Phuu... Tough one this... Why not measure compression, lowering it if necessary, installing intercooler, running on high octane fuel, installing water-injection and raising boost? How many atmospheres/bar is 7 pounds of boost? Can it be some weird camshaft noises that occure under load that you mix-up with pinging? Maybe head-gasket leaking under high boost?0 Audi's 1.8T four runs very high (around 1:9.0 C/R i think) compression, while being turbocharged...
