Subject: Re: 9000 CD (CD=TURBO?)

Keep in mind though that the CD designation predates the CS series launch. The first years of the CD saw it offered only with the turbo (at least in North America). Later, the CD was offered in both turbo and NA forms. Early 9000s can be easily identified by their flat black rear decor panels (on the trunk lid). From 91, the decor panel was refective and you'll have to know your headlight/grill arangements for easy ID. In North America, the CD was only offered with the automatic, though some have since been converted to manual. Also in North America, the turbo CDs were fitted with the full lux treatment between 91 and 93. This included the sunroof, leather, wood trim, CD player & phone. The most desirable CD in North America is the '92 Griffen Edition which featured suede trim (vs. cloth), custom paint and traction control.
