I am not sure of European models.. but from American models the fastest SAAB's are not comparison to any Volvo S70/V70 GLT or T-5 model.... The fastest SAAB's have only 7.4 sec. 0-60's while the Volvo GLT does it in 6.7 and the T-5 between 6.2 and 6.7 depending on where the results came from... The reason the T-5 has so many varied results could be because the Electronic Throttle Control switch may have been set differently by the testing driver(There is a power and a normal mode for the car which can be set by the driver via a small switch next to the Gearshift) SAAB's also have been known for their safety although when looking through information the whole of all the Volvo models appear to protect passenger's heads better than SAAB's.... The S40 with a direct comparison to the 9-3 is a whole lot safer...
