About the thumping sound. I have followed on the newsgroup that it is probably gas sloshing back and forth in the tank. Has SAAB issued any recall or offered to fix the problem? I assume most gas tanks have baffles to prevent this, and SAAB did something different with the 9-5. I am taking delivery of my 9-5 at the end of February, so I will find out how common it is.
