Mine went at 54,000 in my '94 900S. I called Saab to complain, as I
have heard of this part failing prematurely, but they would not admit
any inherent problem. I am very dissapointed with this car, my 55K
checkup turned out to be a $1500 nightmare (windshield washer motor,
front axle seals, and the idler pulley). This is in addition to an
exhaust system at 40K, a fuel injector at 42K, and a few other small
items. I mean, c'mon, how many windshield washer motor have you ever
replaced?
Saab US did send me a $100 check as a 'token of goodwill', which I
am planning to save and to use as part of a down payment on my new
car. I've had it with my Saab. Its either a 328 or a A4 in the near
future.....
