I at first thought it was the solenoid itself, which I replaced. A couple weeks later the problem returned. Thought it might be the APC box, so I replaced it too. Couple weeks later, the problem returned. I talked to my mechanic about it, and he told me 99% of the time the pressure transducer under the dash is what causes the problem. I replaced mine, and the problem hasn't resurfaced since. The thing to do is get a 12v power source and connect it to the two poles of the APC solenoid. It should snap shut (you'll hear a click) and stay there. If it flutters or continues to click, your solenoid is bad and should be replaced. If it does stay there, you've narrowed the problem to the box or the pressure transducer. After a front end collision the APC box is of course suspect, but there is so little in there to go wrong it's unlikely. I'd probably recommend borrowing an APC box if you can, and short of that pick up a "new" pressure transducer at a wrecking yard... should only be a couple bucks, and certainly cheaper than a new box to start your diagnosis. -Justin
