Randall, If your switches are fine, then you may want to check your vaccum lines. On the www.saabnet.com Bulletin Board, cruise control problems are talked about often. Bad vaccum lines can definitely be a culprit. The way yours gradually went out suggests a leak that became a hole or a switch that went bad.
