It occurs to me that in a severe frontal impact, a small passenger could slide under the seat belt ("submarine") and end up hurting and/or breaking his knees and legs. There are a lot of variables that make me question the safety of WHIPS. I don't have any information one way or another, but I would be curious to hear what Volvo says about such situations. -Justin
