Subject: saab 9000 turbo, 1986, clutch not disengaging properly

Just bought the car and absolutely love it. Have driven saabs since 1970's, this is my first 9000. When I bought it a week or so ago the clutch disengaged only a few inches off of the floor. Now it is almost to the floor and I'm worried that soon it won't disengage at all. Checked the hydraulic fluid, this is a hydraulic clutch I'm sure because it's a hydraulic line and not a cable running to the bell housing. What is the problem? Lines need to bled? Fluid blowing by the master cylinder piston? Doesnt feel like blow by because it doesn't sink with pressure, stays at the same point. Thanks for any help
