Subject: Re: 900 SE 6 - any good?

I second Stuart's opinion. I have a 94 900S V6 with 80K miles on it with no problems at all with the engine. I have also heard only bad things about the V6, mostly from this newsgroup. I have NEVER heard one specific problem related to the V6, just "it's bad, don't buy it". I would like to hear "____ is bad" or "___ does not work" or "____ fails early" from someone who knows. Before I purchased my V6 I drove the V4 turbo and it was very nice and fast. However, I did not like the turbo lag. The V6 is very responsive, for a automatic. I do a lot of mountain driving and the V6, in my opinion, runs with a more "even" power curve. The other reason I purchased the V6 was I could get GM parts in town for it and do not have a SAAB mechanic where I live. Although I have not had anything done to it except regular tuneups.
