Um, they say in that Saturn commercial that the customer just came in for "oil changes and tune-ups" until 300 K miles. As another poster suggested, polish those humor skills ( and get your facts straight - the truth is funnier than fiction ) before you take it public. The third door is meant to be used only while the front door is open, making the back seat easier to get into than in, say, a 9-3 3-door. You could buy 2 Saturn SC2's for the price of a 9-3 ragtop. That said, I'll buy another used Saab to replace my bought-new 1993 Saturn SL2 when its time comes. Not that I'll have to replace it soon - my 6 year old car just hit 100 K miles and I've only replaced the following: 1 alternator 1 battery 1 set of brake pads 2 sets of tires Of course, if they offer the Opel Vectra based LS series wagon with a 6-cylinder and 5-speed transmission I'll have to give it a hard look. Mind you, some other parts of GM have had success with the same platform, like say... I dunno.... Saab maybe (9-3 *and* 9-5). My '96 900 S has more door dings after 2 years of ownership than my Saturn ever will have with its plastic side panels. -Chris '93 Saturn SL2 '96 Saab 900 S -- **** Note our new e-mail addresses **** This message was sent by either: Chris Thurrott - wodin at worldnet.att.com **OR** Kris D'Anci - lokki at worldnet.att.com ---------- In article <77oajg$taj$1nopsaml25.mindspring.com>, "Tom Carpenter" <tomcarpnopsamspring.com> wrote: > they claim they will go 300k without a tune up, just a new > seat, plus they have that cool third door for midgets. which should > i get the 9-3 ragtop, or the saturn? please advise > >
