Subject: Re: 9-3 turbo lag

I would say that the 200 hp output, or High Output Turbo (HOT!!!) is not a fix. You have the option to by your 2.0T with 185 or 200 hp, there is no actual difference between the two motors, it is just a "software change". I guess that you could ask the workshop to re-programme your 2.0T, 185 hp?! About the turbo-lag, you need to use the revs. If you shift gear at the 2000 rpm, which the "shift up" symbol says, the car is relatively "slow". The turbo-lag is less pronounced in an automatic but also much of the nice torque boost between 2000-3000 rpm. The max torque is lower in an automatic, I guess that the motor is to "strong" for the Aisin gear box. Anyone disagree? Anders
