Thanks for any help on this subject Well, I stay away from used cars. I'm fortunate--I can afford to. You just don't know how they were treated by the previous owner. I changed from a 93 Ford Taurus SHO to my current 95 Saab 900 Turbo 3-door. The first thing I noticed in the test drive was how smoothly and precisely the controls operated--even things like the shift lever or turn signal. Made the Taurus feel like a 30 year old pick-up truck. My Saab is fast, very economical (34 mpg highway), roomy, well laid out. Some clitches when new, but reliable since then. It's a very practical car. Complaints: too many features like heated seats, Weather Band Radio, Solar Sensor, leather. Power everything. They could have cut weight and price by a lot without losing the Saabness (new word). Pete
