Subject: Re: Cruise Control problem

The cruise light depends. If it is an american version (e.g. you bought it as an international diploamt sales) than it has a cruise light, you will also have a light on your dash called 'park brake' instead of the exclamation mark between brackets. In Europe (and apparantly you are from the U.K.) you don't have the cruise light untill the 9-3 and 9-5 (they have it). I suppose it's a European car so don't bother looking, it isnt't there. What is the problem ? Doesn't it work at all ? Could be very simple. There should be a sort of wire at your pedals. You should check if this is OK (that's what my mechanic did and it only took him a minute and it started working again, I believe he attached the wire again or something). Don't have a clue which switches it uses though. I hope to have helped you a little bit. N.B. What is a Carlsson ? I only know (in Belgium) the 900 Carlsson, not a 9000. I was in the UK and saw a 9000SE (??? the model before the CS does not exist in Belgium with the SE-attachment). I saw a lot of postings on this group on a 9000 Carlsson and I have allways wandered what they were. Keep on Saab-ing Johan. 83 900 GLi 94 9000 CS 94 9000 CSE Paul Aspinall heeft geschreven in bericht <78flii$jm2$1nopsam4.svr.pol.co.uk>... >I have a problem with Cruise on a '92 9000 Carlsson. > >The car has the 'later' version of cruise, and I don't know where to start >to look for the problem. > >Is there a 'cruise' light which should come on- on the dash?? > >Does the later version still use the vacuum switches on the clutch & Brake >pedals, or just the electrical contacts?? > >Please help > >Thanks > > >
