Subject: Re: '92 9000s CD Changer Question

Don't know if this helps but... In my 94 900 and my 96 9000 the wiring for the CD changer is under the left rear (US Driver-side) interior side panel - which comes off very easily. When I bought my 96 the dealer (who is usually pretty reliable) told me in no uncertain terms that the CD changer from my 94 would NOT work in my 96. WRONG! I merely found the wiring, plugged it in, and it worked like a charm: all the necessary controls were built-into the factory-installed radio/cassette unit. The mounting bracket for the changer did not fit, but that was easily fixed by using "Velcro" to secure the changer to the side panel, where it has worked perfectly since. Good luck Parrish Kuel is as Kuel duz!
