I've just purchased a high mileage 1985 900 16V turbo. Following an oil change, what was a slight tappet noise is now a fairly loud clatter which can easily be heard inside the car. After speaking to my local dealer I get the impression that this is an expensive job. Is this something a relatively inexperienced mechanic (i.e. me) can fix? Any advice gratefully received.
