Fuel consumption, reliability, > maintenance costs, etc.pp. Can anyone help? The 9000i -89 with manual transmission that I've got takes about 7.7-8 liters/100 km in the summer. That includes driving in the city and longer distances on main roads (about 100km/h). In the winter add about 0.5 liter. If you like to kick some *ss, like i do sometimes, be prepared for 0.5 liters more. Once last summer it scored 7.5 liters when I drove to Tampere (about 250 km from here) and back. The average speed I had was about 115 km/h. I think that is very low fuel consumption! Some spare parts are alot more expensive than on the classic 900 (eg. generator, fuel pump). In my opinion the 900 is also more reliable ie. not so much small faults. But all in all the 9000i is a car that's lots of fun to drive, has very good handling in the summer, and especially in the winter and it's got lots of interior space too. If you service it properly it'll last for a very long time.
