Doug, I don't think you will get Saab to pay for them. Just over a year ago I looked at an 87 900S to replace the one I totalled. The one I looked at had the motorized seats. The seller, a Saab mechanic at a dealership in Virginia, explained the motorized belts had a problem with the ECU. He offered to replace the driver's side with an updated ECU or take the manual belts out of my wrecked 87 to put in the one he was selling. I finally bought the 87 9000S I am driving now. Saab won't pay for it. Your best bet is to find a modified ECU or switch to the manual belts. I would opt for the latter. Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T
