I recently purchased a 1988 900S that has automatic shoulder harnesses. The drivers side unit does not operate. I have replaced the cable, and the motor assy. works fine when external power is supplied to it, however it does not respond when connected normally and the door is opened or closed. I have checked the door switch located in the door latch and it is operational. I have also swapped relays from the one side to the other to test for a bad relay without any success. Has anyone had a similar experience or can someone tell me where I may be able to find repair information such as schematics or a troubleshooting guide? Does any of the after market repair manuals contain information on this shoulder harness system, or is the factory manual the only source? Any help that anyone can offer would be greatly apreciated!
