As a counterpoint to this - my '96 900 S has been great. It now has 66,000 miles on it, and only one minor repair ($7 for a fuel injection hose). The 1994's are acknowledged to have problems, but why would that prevent you from buying a later model with a proven track record for reliability? Look (for example) at the Consumer Reports reliability ratings. I may or may not trust their car reviews, but they conduct good reader surveys for reliability. The trouble spots dry up 1996 and later on the 900. By the way, didn't 1994's come with an 80,000 mile warranty? That was one factor we considered when we were looking at 1994-1995 used Saabs a year ago. (The 1996 was such a steal that it fell into our price range - cheaper than some '95's we looked at). In closing, sorry about your car. There really should be no excuse for the lack of reliability on the '94's, but at least Saab has seemed to get its act together in subsequent model years. -Chris -- **** Note our new e-mail addresses **** This message was sent by either: Chris Thurrott - wodin at worldnet.att.com **OR** Kris D'Anci - lokki at worldnet.att.com ---------- >From: drewrnopsamPAM_schange.com (Drew Robichau) >Newsgroups: alt.autos.saab >Subject: Re: 94 900S.
