Subject: Re: 5W50 synthetic oil grade

There were specific warnings against using synthetic oil in the '94 NG900 transmissions, but none in the 900 Classic. I've been running synthetic oil in my '82 900 5-speed box for the last 125,000 miles... Also, the '98 900 has synthetic oil as the factory gearbox fill. Of course, they warn that it's a "special" oil, and no other substitutes should be used... --------------------- John R.
