Subject: Re: What Is It About Mobil 1

I have used Mobil1 in two Saab 900 engines. Occasionally on the first (an '82 2.0 8V normally aspirated) and religiously from about 35K on (I sold the car with 155K on it) in an '88 2.0 16V turbo with no leaks and no oil consumption. At 155K the turbo had never been apart and worked well. It consumed no oil between changes (approx 3K miles). It started instantly in 10 and 15 below 0 weather (when I lived in NH). The '82 was running fine on Castrol when I totalled the car in '86. The occasional Mobil 1 change never seemed to hurt it and never had any leaks from either engine.
